The Death of Windows Server 2003

Posted by Alexandra Plummer on

On July 14, 2015 Microsoft will discontinue Windows Server 2003. What this means is that if your computer is running on this particular server, you will have to move on to Windows Server 2012. Microsoft urges users to make the move because of the security risks it poses to computers and the reliability of Windows Server 2012.

The sooner, the better, Microsoft suggests, when it comes to making the move on to Windows Server 2012. This is because security updates, standards and safeguards to protect your system will be absent. This will leave your computer exposed, putting content and information in a position to be lost or stolen.

Windows Server 2012 is the way to go. Microsoft says that users who make the change will find it smoother, more efficient, effective for all IT needs and secure. With Office 365, Cloud OS and Microsoft Azure, improved functionality is an assurance.
